Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparers, counter attendants, and kitchen helpers.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operations Management: Establish methods to meet work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and prepare and submit reports.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
  • Employment Type: Permanent.
