Senior Business Analyst, Data Integration Specialist

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work with internal partners to understand their needs and deliver outcomes with excellence. This role offers significant future potential in a global, sophisticated, and complex enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and participate in Agile and Waterfall projects related to data and performance platform enhancements, system integrations, and process improvements.
- Ensure project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines are clearly documented and communicated.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for projects impacting the OMERS investment data warehouse and performance measurement platform.
- Design and develop complex investment reporting using SQL, SSRS, OLAP, and Power BI.
- Define and execute business test plans, including performance and integration tests.
- Ensure change management principles are considered throughout delivery, including stakeholder impacts, end-user training, and communications.
- Partner with technology teams to implement system enhancements, upgrades, and patches.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the data warehouse and performance measurement platforms.
- Develop and maintain support documentation, including troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability by monitoring and resolving production data and platform issues.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and metadata.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in business analysis roles supporting data warehouse platforms, including production support, change initiatives, and/or large transformation programs.
- Expert knowledge of business analysis strategies, including requirements elicitation, business process modeling, user stories, and source-to-target mapping.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Expert knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and design patterns.
- Knowledge of investment performance measurement and attribution methodologies for fixed income and equity strategies.
- Knowledge of the investment lifecycle and data domains for exchange-traded and OTC products, including exotic instruments.
- Hands-on experience delivering complex data assets and a proven ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience implementing and delivering change to leading investment applications, such as Eagle, SimCorp, FactSet, and Bloomberg.
- Experience with the Azure cloud platform and/or Snowflake is a plus.
- Excellence in all types of communication and facilitation with colleagues at all levels.
- Self-motivated with strong, proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thrives in highly collaborative environments with a focus on team success.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, and Economics.
- CBAP certification is an asset.
