Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Services Program Operations Manager to join our team at the BC Centre for Disease Control. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing strategic priorities and coordinating operational planning and implementation for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic priorities and operational plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with medical and practice leaders to support patient-focused and integrated care.
  • Communicate PHSA and program/service vision, values, and strategic direction to interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Manage clinical service area operations, including staffing, supplies, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement effective practices and processes to measure resource use and quality of care.
  • Lead quality improvement activities, including identifying evidence-based outcomes and developing quality indicators.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff, including probationary and annual reviews.
  • Implement performance management processes and investigate work and staff issues.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field, plus 7-10 years of recent related clinical experience, including 2 years in a managerial/leadership capacity.
  • Current registration/membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) or an appropriate recognized professional association.
  • Proven leadership ability, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to relate easily to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong skills in operations management, including critical thinking, problem resolution, and human and fiscal resource management.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, and to develop and foster a culture of education and research.
