Camp Assistant Director

The Canada Games Centre offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children. As a Summer Camp Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for kids to thrive.
You will be responsible for assisting with daily operations, including camper sign-in/out, attendance tracking, and scheduling duties. Additionally, you will help plan and implement summer camp programs, ensuring all campers' needs are met.
This role requires strong organizational skills, a background in recreation and sport, and experience working with children. You will work closely with the Recreation Coordinator and other staff members to deliver a high-quality program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily sign-in/out process
- Collaborate on creating and developing weekly camp programming schedules
- Design and lead crafts and activities aligned with weekly themes
- Facilitate weekly swim tests
- Coordinate camp rosters and information binders
- Contribute to delivering summer camp programs
- Supervise a staff team of up to 45 members
- Provide backup support to Inclusion and Behaviour Counsellors
