About the Role

Café des Amis is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and check the assembly of trays, and establish work schedules to ensure that the café is running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Noisy work environment.
  • Work Setting: Cafeteria, food service establishment, coffee shop, on-site customer service, restaurant, and restaurant and food service.
  • Transportation/Travel: Valid driver's licence.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, and dependability.
