About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled National Property Claims Adjuster to join our Customer Response - Property team at Aviva. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for claim settlement via telephone, focusing on quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our claims customer demand through a call-center environment
  • Investigate and negotiate property claims in accordance with Aviva's claim procedures and guidelines
  • Confirm coverage and compile FNOL information for incoming claims
  • Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to vendors, insureds, and experts
  • Review and analyze estimates, value of claim, and negotiate/settle claim accordingly
  • Advise and counsel customers on claim status, providing prompt and exemplary customer service
  • Ensure all correspondence is completed in a timely and effective manner
  • Recognize questionable claims, subrogation, and risk opportunities
  • Review case law to determine liability
Requirements
  • 1-3 years claims insurance experience or insurance call center or customer service experience in any industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support customer demand
  • Strong customer service background
  • Excellent computer skills and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingualism in English and French (a big asset)
  • Knowledge of Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean & Punjabi (a big asset)
  • Licenses for claims adjusting in any provinces (a big asset)

Please note that this role requires the ability to work rotating shifts during the hours of 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday to Friday, and flexibility to work some Saturdays only if needed.
