About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Om Ganesha Enterprises Inc. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Payments: Receive payments, make change, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor Entrances and Exits: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products, and request proof of payment when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic cash registers, Interac machines, price scanners, and computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and a team player.
