Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Gynecologic Oncology team at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room care to Gynecologic Oncology patients, utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards and established protocols.
  • Assess and manage patients, including performing comprehensive assessments, making differential diagnoses, ordering appropriate testing, and coordinating patient care.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide optimal patient care.
  • Participate in program development, database management, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing education and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including admission notes, progress notes, and discharge notes.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Graduate of a Canadian or US Accredited Physician Assistant Education Program
  • Eligible to challenge the National Physician Assistant Certification Exam, or Canadian Physician Assistant Certification
  • BCLS and ACLS
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Oncology, Surgery, and/or Gynecology
