Job Title: Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain comprehensive health histories and perform thorough assessments of patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Perform a range of procedures, including ECGs, casting, suturing, and blood sampling
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Canadian or US-Accredited Physician Assistant Education Program
  • Eligible to challenge the National Physician Assistant Certificate Exam or Canadian Physician Assistant Certification
  • Experience working in an Emergency Department setting is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
