Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wood Processing Labourer to join our team at Independent Building Materials Distribution Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our woodworking machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist other processing workers in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Work Environment

Our work site environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be working in a noisy and dusty environment with occasional odours.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be working in a variety of tasks, including repetitive tasks, and will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots.

Work Term and Language

This is a permanent position with a 30-35 hour work week. The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.
