About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at HOME CLEANING COMPANY (THE). As a key member of our cleaning services team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture to maintain a clean and dust-free environment
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture to ensure a clean and tidy environment
  • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Provide basic information on facilities to clients and visitors
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and tidy environment
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Wax and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Will train to learn new skills and procedures
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Provides cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position with a regular schedule
  • 35 to 40 hours per week with a competitive salary and benefits package
  • English is the primary language of communication
