Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to deliver excellent nursing and personal care.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of medications and narcotics.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes resident autonomy and dignity.
- Optimize resident potential to achieve maximum functional ability.
- Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting changes in resident status and taking appropriate action.
- Foster a collaborative atmosphere that promotes effective care delivery.
- Liaise with medical team members to ensure effective clinical care.
- Continuously assess and improve nursing practice and learning needs.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
- Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification.
- Current First Aid with CPR.
- Vulnerable Sector Check (applicable to Ontario applicants).
- Criminal Records Check (applicable to British Columbia applicants).
- Long Term Care Experience.

Leveling rate of pay $32.84 - $41.35 per hour until such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect the collective agreement pay rates starting rate.
