The Landfill Operator Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Landfill Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, maintaining landfill and building facilities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with customers and other team members to provide excellent service and support.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, pumps, and scale systems safely and efficiently
  • Maintain landfill and building facilities, including housekeeping and maintenance tasks
  • Collect and analyze random samples to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Perform general labor duties as required, including equipment maintenance and repair
  • Use computer programs to track and manage operations

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience in oilfield waste management and heavy equipment operation
  • Industry safety tickets and certifications
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
