About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowboarding Instructor to join our team at Mount Washington Pacific ULC. As a Snowboarding Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and guiding snowboarding lessons to individuals and groups of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Demonstrate and instruct snowboarding techniques and skills to students, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
  • Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to the needs and abilities of students.
  • Group and Individual Instruction: Lead and instruct groups and individuals, adapting your teaching style to meet the needs of each student.
  • Certification and Qualifications: Hold a valid Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) Certification.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and management.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Requirements
  • Education: A certificate or diploma in a related field, such as recreation, education, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in snowboarding instruction or a related field is an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold a valid CASI Certification and a criminal record check.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and management.
