About the Job

Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Delivery Lead)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead our team of engineers and architects in delivering technical solutions and services to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, sales teams, leadership, and customer stakeholders to understand client requirements, design and implement solutions, and provide expert technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical lead for Cloud Infrastructure Projects
  • Lead hands-on delivery and oversight on projects
  • Accountable for technical solutions, deliverables, and outcomes
  • Establish quality standards and methods for on-time and in-scope delivery
  • Ensure risk is analyzed and mitigated, and blockers are addressed and removed
  • Liaison between CTO organization, PMO, and Delivery teams
  • Ensure open communication of project status with practice leads
  • Mentor and motivate the technical team to strive for delivery excellence

Mandatory Skills

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale well-architected cloud infrastructure
  • Design and implementation of secure, scalable, and regulatory-compliant multi-AZ, multi-account landing zone infrastructure
  • Deep hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Python
  • Hands-on experience with AWS network and security services, including DNS, DHCP, load balancer, IAM, KMS, Shield, WAF, and GuardDuty
  • Experience with AWS core infrastructure services, including EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, and Lambda
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and refactoring
  • Hands-on experience with disaster recovery and business continuity implementation using cloud-native and cloud-agnostic services

Preferred Skills

  • Observability tools, including CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config
  • Microservices-based architectures
  • Multi-cloud experience, including GCP and Azure
  • Hybrid cloud experience, including on-prem and AWS/GCP/Azure
  • FinOps and cost-optimization
  • Linux/Unix/Windows system engineering
