About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems within our distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including motors, controls, and electrical panels.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment performance.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other maintenance personnel and operations teams to ensure smooth equipment operation and minimize downtime.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
Requirements
  • Certification: Current Ontario Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Electrician - 442A) or #309A Construction Electrician with relevant industrial experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, controls, and electrical panels. Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in electrical technology or a related field an asset.
Assets
  • Experience with Conveyors and Sortation Equipment: Experience working on conveyors, sortation equipment, towlines, cranes, and automated guided vehicles (AGV) an asset.
  • PLC Programming: Experience with programming of PLCs and PLC systems an asset.
  • Maximo Experience: Experience with Maximo, a computerized maintenance management system, an asset.
