Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical support to all departments within the facility to ensure seamless operations.
  • Prevent equipment breakdowns through regular preventative maintenance and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the production process to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve a productive team environment and continuous process improvement.
  • Report concerns and problems to supervisors through daily written and verbal updates.
  • Understand the mechanics of our facilities' processing and packaging equipment and maintain them accordingly.
  • Ensure equipment operates in accordance with GMP standards.
  • Provide shift reports, including parts used, downtime, and root cause analyses.
  • Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities related to food safety, legality, and quality.
  • Adhere to all applicable job procedures outlined in the SOP manual.
  • Comply with GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are followed.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate of Qualifications, Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
  • A valid license or proof of licensure from any province or country.
