About the Role

Amazon Games is seeking a highly skilled Technical Game Producer to join our games publishing team. As a Technical Game Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our games, ensuring seamless integration of technical components, and aligning with overall project vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams to ensure technical components are integrated smoothly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to provide engineers and analysts with the tools they need to operate world-class games.
  • Own and maintain schedules for multiple internal teams, collaborating with stakeholders to understand goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate release schedules and plans, ensuring no release blockers and agreed-upon milestone dates are met.
  • Track tasks through pipelines and keep teams focused on delivery through changes and setbacks.
  • Maintain an overview of initiative status and create visibility on status and risk.
  • Collaborate and proactively solve issues with team leads and cross-functional leads.
  • Facilitate the operation of live tests and live game, oversee the generation of release candidate builds, and manage the deployment of patches to a live game.
  • Act as a live service owner, proactively driving issue prevention, diagnosis, mitigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Plan and task infrastructure and feature improvements for cross-functional teams and technical experts.
  • Provide 24/7 operational support, participating in an on-call rotation alongside fellow producers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability in managing technical challenges in a live environment, including proficiency with game development tools, cloud services, server management, and online game architecture for multiplayer online games.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to non-technical team members and stakeholders, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration.
  • 7+ years of experience shipping and supporting a live game or live service as a technical producer or technical program manager.
  • Familiarity with best practices of publishing large-scale PC and console titles.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and be self-directed to meet deadlines in a quickly evolving environment.
