Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents in the Stouffville-area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of timely and accessible admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective, compassionate, and supportive manner when dealing with others.
- Awareness of each resident's need for self-respect and privacy, and the right to share in decisions about their care.
- Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
