About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team at Whitemud Ironworks Limited. As an Ironworker, you will play a critical role in the construction and installation of steel structures, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erect and Install Scaffolding and Platforms: Safely set up and dismantle scaffolding and working platforms to facilitate construction and installation of steel structures.
  • Signal Crane Operators: Coordinate with crane operators to position steel units accurately according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Align and Secure Steel Units: Ensure steel units are properly aligned and secured in place using welding or bolting techniques.
  • Inspect and Test Structures: Conduct regular inspections to identify any defects, deterioration, or non-compliance with specifications or regulations.
  • Reinforce Concrete Structures: Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures.
  • Unload and Position Steel Units: Safely unload and position steel units to facilitate hoisting and installation.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure correct installation and construction.
Requirements
  • Ironworker Trade Certification: Possess a valid Ironworker Trade Certification.
  • Work Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
