Reliability Engineer Role Overview:

IMP Aerospace & Defence is seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to provide a full spectrum of Reliability Engineering and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) solutions for various contracts. The successful candidate will report to the IMP Aerospace and Defence location near the Halifax International Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance tools and best practices effectively.
  • Improve and automate existing Failure Reporting and Corrective Action Systems.
  • Develop and update Preventive Maintenance strategies.
  • Perform Life Cycle Costs Analyses and make recommendations based on availability and long-term cost.
  • Conduct System Safety Assessments for fleet modification projects.
  • Provide mentorship to more junior department members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with demonstrable electrical knowledge and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years specializing in reliability engineering.
  • Must be able to take initiative and be a self-directed learner.
  • Professional qualifications such as CMRP or CRE are considered an asset.
