Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Specialist to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a full spectrum of Reliability Engineering and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) solutions for various IMP contracts.

About the Role

The successful candidate will report to the IMP Aerospace and Defence location near the Halifax International Airport. As a Senior Reliability Specialist, you will be expected to:

  • Determine the most appropriate Reliability Centered Maintenance tools for each job and apply them effectively.
  • Improve and automate existing Failure Reporting and Corrective Action Systems.
  • Develop and update Preventive Maintenance strategies.
  • Perform Life Cycle Costs Analyses and Cost Benefit Analyses, making recommendations based on availability and long-term costs.
  • Conduct/support System Safety Assessments for fleet modification projects.
  • Provide mentorship to more junior department members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (with demonstrable electrical knowledge and experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years specializing in reliability engineering.
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Professional qualifications such as CMRP or CRE considered an asset.
  • Experience in failure analysis and System Safety Assessments, as well as proficiency in software tools like Windchill Quality Solutions and Omega PS, would be considered assets.

In return for your skills and experience, we offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
