Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Planning Analyst to contribute to the development of land use policies and plans that support the Government of Alberta's strategic objectives. As a key member of the Land Use Secretariat team, you will work closely with stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, municipalities, and industry partners, to advance regional planning and land stewardship initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental scanning and analysis to identify key issues and trends in regional planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, municipalities, and industry partners.
  • Provide research and analysis to inform policy development and decision-making.
  • Support the development of regional planning policies and plans, including the Alberta Land Stewardship Act (ALSA) Regional Plans.
  • Represent the Government of Alberta in committees and working groups related to regional planning and land stewardship.
  • Collaborate with other government departments and agencies to advance regional planning and land stewardship initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of regional planning best practices and emerging trends.
