Job Summary:

The Janitorial Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our administrative offices, common work areas, and storage facilities. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service: Ensure that all internal and external customers receive a high level of service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment: Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to ensure that all areas are clean and free of hazards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks: Provide support with tasks such as ordering merchandise and janitorial supplies, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Comply with health and safety standards: Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, including sanitization, equipment usage, and employee safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the team: Work closely with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives, and provide support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Typically requires 6 months of experience in a related industry, such as facilities management or customer service.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Language: Fluency in English and French is considered an asset.

Work Environment:

  • Physical demands: May be required to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects, and wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment.
  • Environmental factors: Unavoidable exposure to noise, dirt, dust, vibration, and extreme temperatures.
