About Denny's - Back of House - Assistant Cook

Calgary, AB, Canada

We're looking for enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to join our team as Assistant Cooks. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll assist the Cook in preparing high-quality food for our guests. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, learning from experienced culinary leaders and developing your skills in food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the quality of each dish while ensuring a speedy output
  • Function as part of a team, with a focus on communication
  • Ensure company food and plating specifications are met, while executing appropriate food handling protocols
  • Uphold cleanliness of workstation
  • Support in all areas of the kitchen

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a full-service restaurant considered to be an asset
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Energetic and positive
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Possess basic food handling and preparation knowledge
  • Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
