About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host to join our team at AccorHotel. As a Host, you will be the face of our hotel, responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences and ensuring that every visitor feels welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and professional greeting to all guests, setting the tone for a memorable stay
  • Assist guests with menu items, beverage lists, and promotions, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
  • Support colleagues during service to maintain a consistent guest experience, including running food, refreshing beverages, cleaning, and resetting tables
  • Stay up-to-date on beverage lists, promotions, menu items, and preparation methods to provide expert knowledge to guests
  • Handle guest concerns swiftly and graciously, offering a remarkable recovery and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Be aware of guests' dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring proper communication between team members
  • Stay knowledgeable of current promotions and loyalty program offerings to provide guests with the best possible experience
  • Follow all outlet policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Requirements
  • Service-focused personality with previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities at once
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Highly responsible and reliable with impeccable grooming and professionalism
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, and specialty coffees is an asset
  • Valid Serving It Right Certification
  • Ability to work a fluctuating schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and rotating shifts
  • Ability to speak and understand English with professional working proficiency
  • Successful applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada; AccorHotel is unable to assist applicants in obtaining Canadian work authorization
Physical Aspects of the Position
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling
