About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host(ess) to join our team at EightSix Network. As a Host(ess), you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as soon as they walk through the door and provide a friendly and efficient welcome.
- Provide guests with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods and maintain a neat and organized front-of-house environment.
- Seat guests and inform them about any features or promotions.
- Rotate seating between different sections to ensure even workloads for server and bar service teams.
- Answer phones politely and schedule reservations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, email, and prior knowledge of POS systems, Opentable, Touch Bistro, and Sevenrooms.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Previous experience in customer service and ability to lift, balance, and carry a tray of up to 10 pounds.
- Comfortable being exposed to a full sun patio.
