Baker Tilly, one of Canada's largest associations of Chartered Professional Accounting firms, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its team in Owen Sound, Ontario.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about accounting and finance, and is looking to advance their career. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in providing financial advisory, accounting, assurance, tax, and business advisory services to clients in the Simcoe, Grey, Bruce region.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in preparing compilation engagements, corporate and personal income tax returns, and be able to work effectively in a high-volume environment. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to demonstrate a passion for client service.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including preparation of trust returns (T3), corporate and personal income tax returns, and assistance with bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and preparing HST returns.

You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, and take on additional responsibilities as required.
