Job Title: Family Support Worker

We are seeking a qualified and caring individual to join our family as a support worker.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide high-quality care and support to our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, promoting good hygiene practices.
  • Instruct children in personal development and social skills, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
  • Maintain a secure and nurturing environment for all children, providing reassurance and comfort when needed.
  • Organize engaging activities, such as games and outings, to promote cognitive development and creativity.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Help prepare children for rest periods, establishing a calming and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Supervise and care for multiple-age groups of children, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, offering empathy and understanding.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a similar setting.
  • An asset-based approach to child development and education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with family members and other caregivers.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and flexibility skills.
  • A patient and caring demeanor, with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
Work Environment:

This is a non-smoking, scent-free household. You will work primarily at the employer's residence, with optional accommodation available at no charge for live-in arrangements. Public transportation is accessible nearby.Benefits:
