Job Title: Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Planet Fitness in Surrey and North Vancouver area. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and clean environment for our members, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities, including cardio and strength equipment, tanning and massage equipment, and building repairs.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Manage and coordinate workflow with club managers and operations team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to member inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and facilities management, preferably in a fitness or healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing trades, as well as drywall patch work, painting, and caulking skills.
  • Excellent mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to ensure all requirements are completed accurately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
