Heavy Truck Technician

Peterbilt Atlantic is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Technician to join our team in Atlantic Canada. As a Heavy Truck Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by ensuring their vehicles are in top working condition.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the Service Department for vehicles and equipment.
- Observe, listen, and learn from the Diesel Technician.
- Follow checklists, ensuring all critical parts are examined.
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks as needed.
- Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
- Tag all warranty parts and returns to the Warranty Clerk.
- Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and professional.
- Strong customer service skills/experience.
- Licensed or registered apprentice.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the heavy duty truck industry preferred.
