Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare prepress files for digital print and production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of PDF, colour, and other technical languages for prepress operations.
  • Check electronic files for completeness and potential problems with die lines, bleeds, artwork orientation, colour space, and that all necessary files are present.
  • Identify missing or problematic components and communicate them to the Graphic Sales Manager.
  • Output laser PDFs for internal approval, perform quality control checks on final output documents, and follow all quality assurance procedures.
  • Read and understand job requirements before beginning the print process.
  • Perform file management on the file server.

Requirements:

  • A degree in graphic arts along with a minimum two years' experience in the graphic arts industry specific to large format digital print or production art.
  • Demonstrate superior expertise with Adobe CC, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
  • Proficient with MS Office products.
  • Understanding of various substrates, corrugated, plastics, adhesive, paper, litho, and their uses in relation to large format digital print equipment and production.
  • Ability to find creative solutions for complex layouts while adhering to client style guides.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Organized, creative, logical thinker and strong attention to details.
  • Understanding of PDF workflow.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders and procedure manuals.
  • Effective communication with vendors and employees.
  • Meet tight timelines and be a team player.
