Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain and repair various equipment and machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and repair.
  • Inspect and examine equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Repair and assemble hydraulic equipment and cylinders, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and implement changes as needed.
  • Verify and document all repairs and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to working safely and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Mill experience preferred, but not required.
