Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to repair equipment.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, set-up, and repair.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment, and repair as required.
  • Repair and assemble hydraulic equipment and cylinders.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and savings, and implement solutions.
  • Verify and document repairs made.

Requirements:

  • Valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and schematics.
  • Mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to working safely and creating a safe work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work various shifts.
  • Mill experience preferred.
