Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Upgrade Lead

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Upgrade Lead to join our team at Tranzeal Incorporated.

About the Role:

The Cloud Infrastructure Upgrade Lead will be responsible for overseeing the successful upgrade of approximately 150 Microsoft servers within our organization.

This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of this project, while minimizing disruptions to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, application owners, and business units, to ensure alignment and support.
  • • Manage project budget and track expenditures to ensure cost-effective implementation.
  • Server Upgrade Planning and Implementation:
  • • Assess the current state of our server infrastructure and identify upgrade requirements.
  • • Develop detailed upgrade procedures, including data migration strategies and testing plans.
  • • Follow IT change control process to Implement the server upgrade project ensuring objectives are delivered according to the schedule.
  • Team Coordination:
  • • Coordinate with server owners and IT Management on server upgrade activities.
  • • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • • Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for server upgrades.
  • Risk Management:
  • • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • • Implement contingency plans to address unexpected challenges.
  • Communication:
  • • Regularly communicate project status and progress to stakeholders.
  • • Address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • • Provide clear and concise reporting on project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Required Qualifications:
  • • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on IT infrastructure projects.
  • • Strong understanding of Microsoft server technologies, including Windows Server 2003, 2008,2012 through 2022 including core Microsoft software (Active Directory, File Server, SQL Server etc).
  • • Solid understanding of physical and virtual networking.
  • • Knowledge in scripting (PowerShell) and automation.
  • • Experience with server hardware and software upgrades.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • • Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computer or equivalent.
  • • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
