We are seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team at Bayview Trucks - Saint John. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, power trains, electrical systems, and other critical components.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Identify and order necessary parts for repairs, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
- Conduct road tests to verify repair resolution and ensure vehicles are safe for operation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and maintain a positive, professional work environment.
- Completion of a College certification in Truck and Transport or Heavy Equipment Service Technician (minimum Block 3 completion).
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. (in accordance with provincial workplace health and safety standards).
- Willingness to continue training and professional development.
- Clean Driver's abstract and Criminal Reference check.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work in Windows-based software.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a service environment.
- Above-industry-standard hourly rates.
