Job Summary:

The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical site construction work, ensuring a high standard of HSE, quality, and productivity. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage a team of mechanical tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve HSE, quality, and productivity.
  • Lead and manage a team of mechanical tradespeople, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with project management to develop and implement project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with NAC's policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project success.
  • Provide regular progress updates to project management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress and performance.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and productivity within the project team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical trade role, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management position.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of mechanical tradespeople.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical trade practices and procedures, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
