Job Title: Senior Technical Leader

At Barrier Marine Services (Canada) Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Leader to oversee the execution of engineering projects. This key role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Coordinate work activities, providing guidance and oversight to ensure projects meet technical and quality standards.
  • Evaluate technical designs, identify areas for improvement, and recommend changes as needed.
  • Authorise the development of specifications for products or services, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Review and approve engineering projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in the marine industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
