We are seeking a qualified English and Career Education Teacher to join our team at Khalsa Secondary School. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to inspire young minds and contribute to their academic growth.

About the Position

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position that will start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Humanities and Career Education to students in grades 9-12.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students understand the material
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • BC teaching certification
  • Proven experience teaching Humanities and Career Education
  • Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans and grading effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
