Teaching Opportunity at G.A.D. Elementary School

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Arts Education and Careers teacher to join our team at G.A.D. Elementary School. As a member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate First Nations principles of learning and promote student-centered, inquiry-based learning.
  • Support the growth and development of individual learners through differentiated learning techniques and collaborative planning with colleagues.
  • Build relationships with teachers and staff across the school community and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in the co-curricular program and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Relevant university qualifications, such as a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts, Art History, Humanities, English, or a related field.
  • B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate (COQ/CCOQ) or Independent School Certification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current educational practices and a commitment to best practices and standards of professional practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communicative skills, with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
