Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at ESS Corp. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials for production projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan production
  • Prepare bids and proposals for new business opportunities
  • Prepare production and other reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed in the machine shop
  • Oversee the operation of company equipment and machinery
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed
  • Set up machines and equipment for production
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure that they are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture precision parts
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
