Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at ESS Corp. As a Machine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of machine operators, machinists, and other shop floor personnel.
  • Ensure that all production targets are met, and that quality standards are maintained.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet production deadlines.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Train or arrange for training of shop floor personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of supervising and coordinating the activities of shop floor personnel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to train or arrange for training of shop floor personnel.
Working Conditions

The Machine Shop Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The supervisor will be required to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to hazardous materials.
