About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Magic Years Child Care Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Environment
    • Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and organized childcare environment
    • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
  • Support Child Development
    • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
    • Engage children in activities that stimulate their curiosity and creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts
  • Provide Daily Care and Support
    • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
    • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Communicate Effectively
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a childcare setting
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
