Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Magic Years Child Care Centre.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the childcare centre, including maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children, supporting the development of children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high-quality care and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of programs that promote children’s development and learning
  • Support the development of children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills through play-based activities and educational programs
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality care and education, including attending staff meetings and participating in professional development opportunities
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a childcare setting
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
