Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

At Merit Kitchens, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to oversee the logistics and shipping of our products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for arranging the best means of transportation for cost-effectiveness and customer delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Shipping Logistics: Coordinate pickups, manage shipping schedules, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Freight Management: Review and negotiate freight charges, provide freight quotes, and select the most cost-effective methods of moving goods.
  • Customer Communication: Coordinate responses to internal and external inquiries regarding shipping, including quotes, shipping dates, and schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, prepare shipments in advance, and communicate shipping notices with clients.
  • Documentation: Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of documentation, including shipping labels, bills of lading, and invoices.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience: 2+ years of shipping logistics experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in kitchen cabinet manufacturing
  • Certifications: Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
