Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop large-scale distributed data processing systems and applications using Python, Kafka, Spark, SQL, Hive, Impala, Hadoop, Splunk, Autosys, and shell scripting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring it is clean, efficient, and scalable.
  • Work with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and secure.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying that knowledge to improve our data processing systems and applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of software development experience building large-scale distributed data processing systems and applications.
  • Strong experience in Python, Kafka, Spark, SQL, Hive, Impala, Hadoop, Splunk, Autosys, and shell scripting.
  • Experience in DevOps activities, including Snow, Build (TeamCity, Jenkins), and UDeploy.
  • Good knowledge of capital markets and data analysis.
  • Experience in dealing with huge volumes of data operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and Cloud.
  • Strong experience in data analysis and data wrangling skills when dealing with huge volumes of data.
  • Performance analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution, including Cloudera Big Data (PySpark) ecosystem.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
