Food Production Worker

The Food Production Worker is a key member of our food service team, responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients and clients. As a Food Production Worker, you will work closely with our Food Service Supervisor to ensure that all food is prepared and served safely and efficiently.
You will be responsible for performing routine duties in meal preparation, heating and reheating food, and cleaning related to providing quality, safe, and nutritious food. You will also be expected to work independently and make sound professional judgments in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. About YouWe are seeking a candidate who has:
- Grade XII or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in cooking and food preparation
- Successful completion of Food Handlers Course within the past five years
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other staff, clients, and management
- Willingness to learn, accept direction, and work effectively in a team environment following established policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Demonstrated ability to use sound professional judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to promoting a culture of respect that supports safety, ethical practices, cultural awareness, and organizational health
- Physical capabilities to perform duties of the position, including heavy lifting, working flexible hours, withstanding the demands of walking and standing during shifts, and working in an environment with heat and temperature fluctuations
- Travel between sites will be required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
