About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our team at The Agency | A Two Twelve Company. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Education
    • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provide appropriate educational materials.
    • Verify patient identity according to policies and procedures.
    • Prepare patients for radiology exams by positioning the patient for the procedure.
  • Radiation Safety and Quality Control
    • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
    • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
    • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Sterile Techniques
    • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
    • Practice sterile techniques, maintain aseptic conditions, and always use universal precautions.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Certified and currently registered with Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
  • CLXT designation may be considered.
  • At least 12 months of prior related clinical experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) and Mammography is considered an asset but not mandatory for the position.
  • CPR/BCLS for healthcare providers required.
