Aerospace Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Operations Manager to join our team at IMP Group. This role will be responsible for overseeing production, facilities, and infrastructure planning, as well as analyzing production personnel requirements and technical qualifications.

Responsibilities- Perform technical work package reviews and fact-finding to ensure high-quality results.
- Support production, facilities, and infrastructure planning to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze production personnel requirements and technical qualifications to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in CMLU organization structure planning for supervision and support teams.
- Work with Leonardo Helicopters to develop CMLU-specific training plans and On-the-Job-Training programs.
- Manage tooling and equipment setup, including auditing tooling lists, designing tooling cabinets, and developing equipment transition plans.
- Support efforts to achieve LHUK Supplier Qualification (QRS-01) as required.
- Draft reports and correspondence, as well as present information to various IMP and/or LHUK stakeholders.
- Support Program Risk Management by identifying risks and mitigation options.
- Liaise with all IMP departments on technical matters as required.
- Graduate degree from Transport Canada Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Program or equivalent DND training.
- Conversant in aerospace terminology, understanding of drawings, aircraft, and aircraft systems, and Aircraft Maintenance Policies and Procedures.
- Able to collaborate with team members while operating in a fast-moving and dynamic work environment.
- Good self-discipline and ability to work independently when required.
- Comfortable working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Able to envision how production work can/will be done to enhance planning efforts and maximize efficiency.
- Experience working with the AW101/CH149 Helicopter or in an aircraft manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures related to AS9100 standards is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and manufacture with 2 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and personal computer skills.
- Eligibility to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
