We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team at Triangle Enterprises Ltd. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including building, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Construction and Repair: Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Building Foundations: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Installation and Fitting: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
- Supervision and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
- Estimation and Maintenance: Estimate costs and materials, maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- Education and Experience: Level four or five apprenticeship training, Carpenter Trade Certification, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Carpenter Red Seal Certificate, and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
- Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, and tight deadlines.
- Tools and Equipment: Own tools, safety equipment, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
- Screening Questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada? Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?
